In supervision we work to make those assumptions visible and subject them to useful critique.
My supervision is intended for clinicians who enjoy thinking deeply about psychotherapy, who are comfortable with uncertainty, and who wish to continue developing both their practice and their capacity to think about practice.
Sessions provide space to bring clinical work, therapeutic dilemmas, relationships with clients and the questions that arise in practice into sustained examination.
I bring more than a decade of clinical experience across specialist public mental health services, private practice, child protection and forensic services, together with specialist training in systemic family therapy. My own practice is grounded in systemic and narrative approaches, and I am particularly interested in helping clinicians examine the assumptions and ideas that organise their work.
Good supervision should not simply improve technique.
